Works on Uskudar – Beykoz and Besiktas – Sariyer metro lines begin soon. The metro lines, which will be put in a tender on 27 June, are expected to ease the traffic on coastal roads off.
In April, the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Kadir Topbas has stated that there were going to be new metro lines soon, and these metro lines, which will be located in Uskudar – Beykoz and Besiktas – Sarıyer routes, will be put in a tender in one month.
Kadir Topbas says the intensity must be eased off in these locations. So the projects of these two metro lines will be put in a tender on 27 June. Here the details;
It will be completed in 300 days
Uskudar – Beykoz metro line, which will be 18 km long, will be completed in 300 days as from the starting date of work after the tender. Thanks to the abovementioned metro line, the time spent in distance between Uskudar and Beykoz is expected to be 30 minutes.
Tenders will be made in the same day
Besiktas – Sariyer metro line, of which tender will be made in the same day with the tender for Uskudar – Beykoz metro line, will be 18.4 km long. This project is also expected to be completed in 300 days as from the starting date of work after the tender. For Besiktas part of mentioned line, it is planned to create an interchange line to Kabatas – Mahmutbey route.
