Turkish statistical institute announced housing sales figures for June. House sales in June were down 8,1 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. Foreigners' purchase of housing continues to increase.
Household sales in Turkey were 97.579 in June 2017, decreasing by 8,1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. In residential sales, Istanbul reached 17.970 residential sales and had the highest share with 18,4 percent.
According to the sales figures, In Istanbul 10,160 homes were sold, followed by Ankara with 10.4 percent, Izmir with 6,034 houses sold and 6.2 percent. The number of residential sales was low in Hakkari with 2 houses, Ardahan with 20 houses and Bayburt with 31 houses.
Last Situation in Second Hand
In Turkey, second hand housing sales decreased by 8.2 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 52,146. In second-hand housing sales, in Istanbul 9,314 houses were also sold and placed first place with a share of 17.9 percent. The share of second hand sales in total housing sales in Istanbul was 51.8 percent. Ankara took second place with 6,575 houses sold followed by İzmir with the sale of 3,693 houses.
Foreign Purchase Increasing Continues
Household sales made by foreigners increased by 24.8 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 1926. In June 2017, Istanbul takes place on the top with 903 residential sales in foreign residential sales. 408 houses are sold in Antalya,93 houses are sold in Bursa, 77 houses are sold in Aydın, 68 houses are sold in Ankara and 60 houses are sold in Muğla.
