Licensed Land Will Be Designated For Investor

Ready Lands, of which even environmental impact assessment permission is obtained by the government, will be given in to the investor if the conditions are fulfilled. Also in tenders, benefit of the citizens will be looked out and the firms, which will sell the cheapest electricity, will become prominent rather than the firms which offers the highest price for the tender.

Electricity Market Law and Some Amendment Proposals, which have been being discussed about in Turkish Grand National Assembly, come with a set of regulations. Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources is getting ready to make some citizen-centered regulations actual. Based on the information given by ministry authorites, first regulation will be about mine sites. Areas, were being given in to those who offer the highest price. However now, a new model will be practiced. Licensed Land, of which even environmental impact assessment permission is obtained by the government, will be given in to the investor who fulfills the condition of building a thermal power station.

CITIZEN CENTERED POLICY

Ministry authorities, who have given information about the regulation of mine privatization, state that mine sites were being designated for those who offer the highest price before. The authorities who emphasize that internal revenue was the key factor before, say that government’s priority is citizen centered policy from now on.

IT WILL GO FOR THOSE WHO SELL THE CHEAPEST ELECTRICITY

The company which sell the cheapest electricity to the goverment will get the upper hand in tender which will be made. According to the regulation, there will be tender with ready permits, licenses and environmental impact assessment report, which will be so helpful for the investor in terms of not getting busy with such procedures. EUAS will complete all the procedures about mine sites. Those investors who promise that they will build a thermal power station, will join the tender about the price of the electricity which will be sold to the government.
