Construction Sector’s Turnover Increased By 68.1 Percent

TURKSTAT’s February figures for the turnover index, which is one of the most important data of the construction sector, have been announced by TURKSTAT.

Turkey Statistical Institute (TSI) announced turnover index data for February, which was recorded in the construction sector turnover increased by 68.1 percent.

According to TURKSTAT data, the calendar-adjusted construction turnover index increased by 68.1 percent in February 2018 compared to the same month of the previous year. Seasonally and calendar-adjusted construction turnover index increased by 5 percent compared to the previous month.

HEDONIC HOUSING PRICE INDEX INCREASE

On the other hand, the Central Bank of Turkey announced the hedonic housing price index. The Hedonic House Price Index rose 9.5% on a yearly basis in February.

ACCORDING TO TURKSTAT DATA, TOTAL TURNOVER INCREASED BY 23.4 PERCENT

The calendar-adjusted turnover index for the industry, construction, trade and services sectors in the month of February 2018 increased by 23.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. The seasonally adjusted and calendar-adjusted total turnover index effects increased by 1.3 percent compared to the previous month.

REVENUE IN THE TRADE SECTOR INCREASED BY 17.2 PERCENT

The trade turnover index increased by 17.2 percent in February 2018 compared to the same month of the previous year. Seasonally adjusted and calendar-adjusted trade turnover index increased by 0.3 percent compared to the previous month.

TURNOVER IN THE SERVICE SECTOR INCREASED BY 23 PERCENT

The service turnover index increased by 23 percent in February 2018 compared to the same month of the previous year. The seasonally adjusted and calendar-adjusted service turnover index increased by 1.3 percent compared to the previous month.
