In loans given under the scope of conversion of disaster risk areas, the upper limit of the loan principal amount to be provided with interest support is increased from 100 thousand liras to 125 thousand liras.

The upper limit of the loans to be purchased for disaster risky buildings was increased. The decision of the Council of Ministers on the amendment was published in the Official Gazette.

According to this, within the scope of the Law on the Transformation of Areas Under Disaster Relief, the upper limit of the amount of the loan principal to be provided with interest support is raised from 100 thousand liras to 125 thousand liras in the loans extended to real and legal persons for the purpose of building and acquiring housing and work place.

Previously, on behalf of a beneficiary interest support will be provided for the total credit amount of 500 thousand liras, while the said amount of 625 thousand liras was re-determined.

Within the scope of the amendment, the rate of interest support and the upper limit of the loan principal will be applied throughout the loan period and will not be changed based on the historical values ​​provided by the loan.

The rights holders of credits will not be able to use the construction and acquisition credits from both the private accounts of the conversion projects established in the same bank and from the bank at the same time.

 

The decision will be effective from 1 January 2016. Interest support will be applied to the loans to be provided from the banks until 31 December 2016.
